Las Banderas

For Mexican restaurant Las Banderas in De Lutte, we built a modern website on our own Pilot CMS. Quick table reservations or takeaway orders, fully available in Dutch and German, and a menu and specials the team manages themselves.

Las Banderas

A new website for Las Banderas

Las Banderas is a Mexican and South American restaurant in De Lutte, in the heart of Twente. Known for its grilled spare ribs, but just as proud of its fresh guacamole, sizzling fajitas and vegetarian dishes. A restaurant with a warm, colourful atmosphere, and a website that no longer matched it.

The brief was clear: a modern website that feels as welcoming as the restaurant itself. One where guests can quickly book a table or order food, and that the team can easily keep up to date themselves.

Las Banderas homepage

A design that captures the restaurant's atmosphere

The design reflects what guests experience in the restaurant: warm earth tones, terracotta and mustard yellow, characterful typography and plenty of room for atmospheric photography. You get a taste of the atmosphere before you even walk in.

Book a table or order takeaway in seconds

A restaurant website has one main job: getting guests to the table. That is why the reserve and takeaway buttons are within reach on every page, on desktop and mobile alike. The website links straight through to the restaurant's reservation and ordering environment, so booking a table or placing an order takes just a few clicks.

Las Banderas menu

Available in German too

De Lutte is right next to the German border, and a large share of the guests come from Germany. The website is therefore fully multilingual: all pages, the menu and every dish are available in both Dutch and German. German visitors find everything in their own language straight away.

Managing the menu and specials themselves

The website is built on our own Pilot CMS. This means speed, SEO and security are in order from day one, and the restaurant gets a clear, easy-to-use admin panel.

The Las Banderas team updates the menu themselves: dishes, prices, categories and labels such as vegetarian, gluten-free or spicy. The rotating specials, opening hours and copy can also be updated without any technical knowledge. That way the site always stays up to date.

The result

The new website has been live for a few weeks and has shown a clear upward trend in visitors ever since. Las Banderas now has a website that captures the restaurant's atmosphere, gets guests to the table quickly and is fully in the team's own hands.
